Intelligent Information Management Group

The Intelligent Information Management Group (the Group) at Institute NIRI specializes in developing software solutions for problems where computers are required to behave intelligently.

The Group was formed in 2006 and is since then working hard on building a portfolio of a recognizable partner for solving challenging problems where reaching the desired effectiveness and efficiency of the software system is far from trivial.

The Group works absolutely successful with West European clients due to the specific expertise that the Group provides combined with the benefits of lower cost, and very reliable, near-shore partnerships.

In the two years of existence, the Group has successfully worked, and is still working, with two strong European partners, namely WCC-Group BV from Utrecht, and Living-e AG from Karlsruhe, with others in prospect.

The Group’s major and still current project is the development of an Information extraction system. The Group has designed and developed a robust and versatile information extraction (IE) system, including the modular IE framework, numerous IE components, and performed related knowledge engineering tasks. The Group also develops support utilities required for the core systems to communicate with the environment, for example, user interface components and a mail agent. Group’s experienced engineers, cover a broad range of technological and conceptual solutions. Group’s partners can count on the Group’s capacity and commitment in all the phases of the project.
